Apple Pay operates through the Passbook app on your iPhone® 6 or iPhone® 6 Plus using iOS 8.1 or newer. When prompted for payment at checkout, you simply hold your phone near the payment terminal and press the Touch ID™ button to complete your transaction.

In apps, it's just as easy. Simply select Apple Pay from the payment options provided to complete your purchase.

The account security and protection you have come to expect from is only enhanced through your use of Apple Pay. When using Apple Pay to make a purchase, your personal account number and information are never shared with the merchant. Instead, through tokenization, your uniquely assigned Device Account Number along with an encrypted transaction-specific security code are used to make the purchase rather than your card number further protecting your account from being compromised.

Apple Pay is a function of the Passbook app on select Apple devices. Your credit card can be added to Passbook by accessing the app directly or by navigating to "Settings" and selecting "Passbook & Apple Pay" and following the prompts on your screen. If you don't see the option to "Add Credit or Debit Card," swipe down and tap the plus sign. If you already have your credit card on file for iTunes®, follow the prompts to add it to your Passbook.
