Like when a customer came into one of our offices, distraught and confused. His wife had passed away just one month earlier, and he didn’t know if he was able spend her last Social Security check. He was also unsure of his account balances, but needed to purchase fuel oil to heat his house.
Our staff immediately calmed and reassured him that we could help. We took ownership of the situation, calling the Social Security Administration to get answers about the check and then the local office for the aging, which began arranging additional assistance that the man needed.
He was grateful for the support, thanking us for going above and beyond for him. It’s just one example of how is committed to being here for everything that counts - not only in banking, but also in life.
