What is an escrow account? An escrow account is an account you fund each month as part of your total monthly payment. We use it to make property tax and insurance payments for you. Items like mortgage insurance and flood insurance may also get paid from the account.
Escrow accounts are usually required when your down payment was less than 20%. But even if it isn't required, they can be very beneficial. You would make combined escrow and mortgage payments every month and rather than having to remember when your property tax and insurance bills are due, we pay them on your behalf.
If you have an escrow account with us, we want to ensure you understand exactly what’s involved in the payment. Give us a call at and we will provide an analysis for you and answer any questions you may have.
